About Christina

M. Christina Valencia is an ASHA certified Speech Language Pathologist and is licensed in the state of Arizona and holds a current certificate in Speech Language Pathology from the Arizona Department of Education. She has been providing speech therapy to individuals both in the school, clinical home setting for almost 10 years.

Her areas of expertise developmental delay and autism, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), cognitive disabilities, and positive behavior support. She is trained in Lindamood-Bell Phoneme Sequence (LiPS). As well as using MinSpeak®. She has worked with children and adults with a wide range of needs.

Christina is a dedicated professional who is willing to put individuals’ needs first. She enjoys being a member of the intervention team and feel that family involvement is a key element to client’s success.

Programs and Curriculums

Christina works directly with family and caregivers to develop individualized communication programs, integrating core family and community values with clients’ communication strengths and needs. Programs may inspired by Michelle Garcia Winner’s Social Thinking ®, Lindamood-Bell Visualizing and Verbalizing ® Lindamood-Bell Phoneme Sequencing LiPS ® Core Vocabulary and Language Building.

She is not currently accepting DES or insurance but will provide adequate documentation and receipts so that clients can submit reimbursement form to insurance.

Supporting and Enhancing IEP and ISP goals:

Christina will travel to your home to provide therapy. She will utilize your loved one’s environment to promote communication and social skills. She is knowledgeable in regards to both IEPs and ISPs. She will work with current goals or establish new goal.
